If you want a tight look then you lose comfort in the fit or you go the other way round, let your tailor advice you. The finishing touch is the belt and actually the buckle. It creates a smart-casual look that is complementary to the Barcelona FC image and his age.
The shirt: Always a crispy white or Italian baby blue. The most basic needs for a man are these shirts since they can be combined with all sorts of jackets and ties. Use the white for a more distinctive look, white cretes contrast especially with a darker suit. Blue gives a more approachable but still professional look.
