In this case we see a blue Gaberdine cloth combined with pink buttonhole stitching. A nice combination to add a little sparkle to your, in this case, business attire.
There are unlimited possibilities with button sorts and combinations. You can even bring your own. This is a sample of a ladies jacket (Cashmere/Cotton) where the 3 buttons are used to add a little bit of panache so it does not become too casual.
There are several ways to place your buttons. Here you see them ‘on a row’, the other visuals on the page show the ‘kissing’ variation where the buttons slightly overlap each other.
The most popular combination is a grey canvas (the cloth) with red stitching. This because it creates a good contrast between the colors and shows your eye for detail. It sets you apart from the general crowd while being true to the formal dress code(s).
What makes Italians special? They can do a lot with little. One of the tricks is to have a color of the cloth coming back in other details, like the buttonhole, lining or piping. We see it as a challenge to inspire our clients with such ideas.
