Blue Blazer Couture - Blauwe jasjes couture
Navy Blue plays a neutral role as black does to show authoritative power, importance, confidence, elegance, and stability. This particular model is a perfect example for women to wear as a power suit for the boardroom during the day and a chic jacket for a night out with her man or friends. As much as navy blue is the new black, this sophisticated fabric is perfect to blend with shades of black as well as other colors.
The navy blue jacket is from the “Target Gabardine” collection of Holland & Sherry. The worsted wool displays a smooth and effortless drape over a woman’s physique. The Super 100’s durability of this particular material supports all practical functions purposed for this jacket without the bulky thickness. The model of this lapel is called “Half Standing” which is another house style of De Oost. The woman for this garment had the personal request to have the collar shortened and straight. The lapel is complemented with functioning button holes on each side with black shadow pin stripes lining underneath the lapel. The handcrafted stitching pattern was a personal request and the pattern is tailored to the silhouette on the woman’s upper body. The two buttons on the front of the jacket which are placed close together is the defining point to balance professional attire and mix it with a more formal ensemble. The pockets are non-functional; however the flaps of the pockets were added for décor. Another personal touch was added by placing six open button holes on each sleeve. This navy blue garment looks and feels smooth as butter. It compliments all complexions and empowers a woman’s non-verbal statement.
